[h=2][/h]Hey everyone,
i have been looking to start a new career at trucking for a while now and i spoke with a recruiter at Mr.p express today , and what i gathered from this guy that they have about 2 months of training the first 4-5 weeks arent paid and after that they'll make you drive city with a trainer for 400/week for another 4 weeks , and another 4 week OTR for 400/week until you finish training! after training you will start at 0.31-0.34 cpm.
this is a major thing for me and i am looking for advice please , i know the first year is the hardest as i have been told but you have to start somewhere.
so if anyone has worked for these guys or works for them i would really appreciate the advice !!!
thank you
Mister P Express, Inc in jeffersonville , Indiana ? advice please?

They can't fill their driving jobs for some reason. Constant advertising...even on tv.
They recently built a new garage and the offices look new as well. I live local, but never considered applying.
Last I heard, you have to pay for their school which no other company recognizes. If you get fired or qui, you're going to pay to go to school again unless you have been there for at least a year. I would recommend going to TDI in Sellersburg and getting a entry driving job from one of the many recruiters that stop by. Don't choose a company if the recruiter didn't bring in a free lunch. Papa John's meat lover pizza for me please. -
well , i see all kinds of driving jobs ads everywhere online and on the back of trailers of course , i never seen their tv ads to be honset. i heared 2 opinions about these guys , one guy praised them and the other said they are a nightmare ! so i dont know which is which

I worked there for 6 months after going thru their school. Not too bad. Better than swift, cr england etc etc....mostly all east coast paperlogs they will run your ### off if you let them. They have their favorite drivers who will get the good runs. Their big account is UPS and G.E. also genpack in riverport which will be driver assist like the G.E. runs they pay $50 to unload (help) and pay a lumper $200 to help you. Alot of brokered freight on backhauls.

anyone have any updates on driving for them good ,bad or indifferent? Miles, Pay, Benefits, Breakdown Pay/Policy, Health Insurance Policy/Cost/Type, Average Length of Haul, Can you run longer and build up home time in lieu of like going home every 2- 3 weeks, Take truck home?(I live 1- mile from a place that has let me park there for a very long time,with large lot and very secure,state police park and radar there also., Equipment APUs, company policy,etc...not a lot on there website regarding above. I see they run Canada, which I do also as a company driver. Anyone drive for them know or has driven for them know?

Currently attending mr p school and my advice dont do it its a 2 yr contract with them to garnish your wages to pay back.. U cannot attend if u want to go else where unless u pay 5200 up front.. They want 400 first day and thats if u decide to drive for mr p... No hotel or meals no help with getting to and from school... U train 4 weeks no pay than 6 weeks at 13.00 a hr no matter what u drive with a trainer.... If u are in a class of 10 people for one trainer so no good training and if one person isnt getting the hang of it they hold the whole class back until they do.... Than once u go threw all their programs its. .40 a mile with little to no advancement so if all that sounds good knock yourself out im currently going another route...
tucker Thanks this.
