Question: after you do the tests and all documents are good, pass vision test you get your license.
In MN do you get the ACTUAL license the same day or do they give you a paper copy and mail the real license in 10 business days?
How does it work in MN? Also cost of transferring from out of state?

St Paul office. I asked because let's say you get paper license which is 30 days. Then if I start driving and don't get routed home the paper 30 day expires I'm SOL.
Get pulled into a scale or whatever I have expired license get O/O fined etc...CDL holders need the real license right away we are driving traveling can't sit by the mailbox and wait for the real copy.
What do you other drivers do when renewing or transferring? Take a month off and sit by the mailbox waiting for your license? Doesn't make sense and it's a PITA. -
it still has your license number on it and your info.
Officers are not going to give you crap about it because of the nature of this industry and especially after Covid thing still has states screwed up.
If you have someone at home, when it arrives, figure out where you are going to stop for a day or two, talk to the truck stop manager and ask if it is alright to have something sent to you using their address, then have it sent FedEx next day … problem solved! <<<<< I do this all the time!Bean Jr. Thanks this.
