I came across an ad for a company driver doing Milk hauling out of Tooele UT (where I live) and it says $450 a day.
Do Milk haulers really make that much?
If anyone does Milk let me know if the pay is real and what an average work day is like.
I might just be interested if the have anymore openings.

Yes, I was paid about $600 a load for a day and a half about 12 years ago. Hauled milk to a cheese plant.

I would pick up a loaded tractor trailer, so no waiting to get loaded. At the plant, there could be a line of a few tankers, depending on the time of day. They had 6 slots to unload trucks. Depends on the plant as to how much wait time there is.

Takes about two hours to get pumped off and the tank washed out, once you get into the plant.

Plants seem to break down also. It don't happen often but occasionally I see trucks stacked up waiting to unload. Can't go wrong with $450 though.

Oil paid $400 a load. Which was a days work. Before the market crashed. It dropped to $300 after. Don't know what it pays these days.

Cost of living has gone up, trucking rates have gone up, driver wages should/should have gone up too.

300/day is minimum now. 450 a bit high but we will be there soon. 300/day x 6 days 1800/week 90k is about right...though with inflation st 11% its really only average.

11% inflation means that $100 bill in you wallet will only buy $89 of goods a year from now. That $1000 sitting in a savings account will only buy $890 of stuff a year from now. Meanwhile housing, homes, food, cars, parts, electronics everything going up in price. If you can find things now, a lot of times what you want is out of stock.

But yeah, driver salaries for exp drivers need to go up and will be in the $450 range soon. Walmart for example, 112k yearly salary up from 87k or thereabouts. 112k works out to $2153 a week or $430/day given a 5 day work week.

$430 is not that far from $450.

However, in answer to the original milk delivery position, what could be happening here is bait and switch. If other companies in the area are paying $300/day and this one promises $450/day it might be a ploy to get a driver in, have them work a week or 2 then drop the salary down to $300 like the other companies. It's called bait and switch. Do some research and be aware.

Tanker in Utah during winter does not sound fun.

Tanker in winter in North America isn't fun. If you have a single bore trailer. Which isn't fun any time of year.

Lyndon transport in WA wasn't paying anywhere near that a couple years ago. $23-25/hr IIRC. They were always advertising on Craigslist.
