Run you illegal and write you up for it. Sit you and don't pay you for it. Lots of short puddle jumping loads that burn a lot of time for little miles.

This is one of the owners at Midwest Express, Inc. - Lesa. The information obviously was posted by an unhappy driver that was held accountable to DOT standards. What was written above may be his opinion but is not anywhere close to the verifiable truth. I hope this employee/ex employee is no longer here and happy where he is. Thank you. Lesa Dixson

Wooly Rhino and roadhammer123 Thank this. -
Csa #'s aren't bad either for this company.

Thanks drivertech77. We are not perfect - and as you know, CSA scores change monthly. We do, however, try to do the right thing as far as drivers and running a business goes. We are like family here and appreciate all of our employees. I know every one has a right to their opinion as do I. Trucking is the lifeblood of this country and I am proud to be part of it! Take care!!

Oh God...another "family" company...Some of us know what that little phrase means..But, you do get "props" for coming on here and being up front as to who you are...

Midwest several years ago WAS a good company to work for. Navistar is correct, about running illegal. They don't particularly ask you to, it that your told you Will. But it's definately the norm and failure to do so, resulted a day of 2-3 hrs of city work and/or often zero miles for couple days. All under the direct command of one of the owners. You either conformed to running 2 log books or they starved you out. Leza may "not" know about any of this, but most certainly its a case of ignorance or plausible deny ability. The turn over rate in the past 2 years alone is way above the industry norm. And yes, csa scores do change, and it keeps getting worse and worse. Midwest has been in the lower 35 percentile for almost a year now, we cant even go by a scale anymore unless its closed. They let a good group of respectable drivers go, in exchange for the bottom of the barrel types. (like the owner)
Leza says it can't be proven? If the DOT were to come in and grab 3-4 drivers that have been there 2+ years and offered immunity in exchange for their testimony, the DOT would find all the proof they would ever need. But hey, if no other company will hire you, call us, we can get you in a broke back truck...If you don't mind low miles/pay, then we will gladly overlook (wink wink) all of your previous indiscretions/incidents/accidents/tickets at your last few jobs and and you can help us drag our CSA numbers even lower....CALL NOW!
It's trucking companies like Midwest Express that give the industry and decent drivers a bad name.
A few months ago they installed computers in all of the trucks, in an attempt to appease the DOT. We were told "we were going to have to do it anyway" Well let the truth be known, mwex had no other option. I personally saw a copy of the reprimand for USDOT AND KDOT.
There are many questionable and low life things that going on here, most of us are/have been leaving and looking elsewhere. It's not a train wreck yet. But a few more truck wrecks and as the daily (literally) daily DOT violations and tickets continue to grow, Midwest will end up reaping what they've sewn, and everyone will take and/or be given notice.
They've (the greedy ones) taken everything Greg O built, a successful win/win for both the company and the drivers, a place where hardly ever was there a complaint, and we are watching the self implosion of a once "Great Place to Work, and turned it into a last stop for those who otherwise should not be allowed behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle.
We miss you Greg. Start another company and we will come. -
very cool way to stand by your company. Do you hire out of Springfield ma.

wow,ive known the owner clear back when he had 1 truck and his old man Ron GOD BLESS his soul was the head of traffic for monforts,so that tells you how far this company has grown,so I cant believe a few bad apples have spoiled the whole bunch in fact I plan on sitting down with them and seeing if I can be one of those bottom fed losers you refer to,maybe for a change they might like a polished seasoned type veteran and I do mean VETERAN IN PEACE TIME AND IN TRUCKING would be a difference that may make that bad company into that better company ..huh well wish me luck ....and yes I do have other offers but until then doesn't hurt to say what I know also bout this family ,they are as good as gold,i know cuz I worked for parris ,now that's another story all together, but it gives you a clue to how long I been around...GOD BLESS...cowboy wild

this morning I read your reply about my reply on this company and yes I am that guy and yes they offered me a job ,but its not final yet.Its a big deal when you get choose by them cuz from what I gather they don't settle for anything less then ,I mean they have all kinds that apply but never make it off the pile,so I do feel an honor, but there is this side of me that cant stray far from his roots sort of speaking,so if we can real soon sit and chat before I have to decide is and would be nice..thanks
