truckstops sell ovens. don't know how good they work though.
you can also use your exhaust -

A regular Microwave goes from $50-300.
No way I would spend that kind of money on a 12v Microwave.
I've got like a $50 one and it works great. -
thats my issue the company does not allow hard wired inverters and I havent decided even to this day if I want to take a O/O plunge. I have used the burton oven and it worked well but takes a lot longer than a microwave and it burnt out after a couple months. The roadpro ovens work well too and one worked for me for a few months but forgot it in a truck I borrowed, got a 2nd one maybe 4 months ago and it still works fine and I use foil instead of liners to save money. It takes longer but to give an idea I can cook salmon in less than 30min in the oven.

After leaving my first trucking company, Swift, after two years and starting at new company I just bought a microwave myself. Got it from walmart. Was like 45.00. If I'm not mistaken it's a 700 watt microwave and I used it twice so far. It works great. Also stocked up on a few microwaveable food goods so it feels amazing to bypass all of the truck stops and choose a rest area instead and not have to worry about where the hot meal is going to come from.
New company has inverters installed already as well as a refrigerator so I can shop at walmart more and not have to worry about if this cooler I bought from truck stop awhile back will malfunction like the last one -.-
It's definitely a luxury to have both. I have no idea how I went without either for so long :/ -
Actually if you can't have a wired inverter I don't even think a 12V microwave would work since they are pulling 660W and I think the best of the plug in 12V power ports only allows for 240W (20*12)

Buy a cheap genset, strap to back of truck. Have seen 1500 watt gensets for $200 on home improvement store web sites.

I have found this site useful for 12 volt gadgets, also good for camping too!

the gen inverter I want to get myself is a lot more than $200, one is a yamaha that can run up to 17hrs on 1gal of gas and another is a honda which is closer to $1000 but doesnt run as long, if I ever decide to become an O/O I will get the yamaha for sure to run an A/C along with the other stuff.
