Would going to Suncoast in Punta Gorda be an option for you? I know their program meets the 160-hours requirement. I got on with Melton years ago after attending. I know Prime will hire out of there... They also have a school in Moore Haven. They offered weekend classes back when I attended. Think it took 10 weeks if you went on weekends. The only downside was the cost, I paid 5300$ 5 or so years ago. I've heard its over 6000$ now. They offer loans but that's still a pretty penny. I will say, for schools in Florida, they're the best I found as I didn't want to spend 6-months driving far to a community college. I know the options suck for us South Floridians.

+100 on Sheridan. Solid folks and I think we got some good training. I feel that the instructors are very good at assessing your strengths and weaknesses and you'll have to trust them, even if you're not sure if they are right. I was part of the first group that got road-tested and I was so tense that I was manufacturing diamonds. Get every minute of wheel time that you can and run #69 every chance you get. Best of luck.
