my head is spinning too

What are you trying to diagnose? -
Rear end issue front passenger driver spins freely makes metallic clanking and attempts to spin the shaft between rear ends but can't all other drive wheels spin this shaft? What can the cause be
-
the other shafts will spin that shaft becuase it doesnt take much effort with that shaft being shot. but with that shaft being that it is shot doesnt have enough teeth depth to spin over the other wheels. Pull the driveshaft and inspect the splines. Its only a few bolts. If those splines check out, your gonna have to get the reaer rebuilt
-
Both pumpkins or just front one and could it just be the spindel to that one corner or r u saying it's the read driver
-
So u say to pull the shaft between rear ends and look for what I'm fairly mechanical inclined but never done rear ends although not much scares Me
-
from what i can make of what you are describing, sounds like you need to pull the front axle shaft on passenger side. Sorry i said driveshaft by accident. Remove the bolts that bolt it to the hub. And slide the thing out of the bore. inspect the splines
-
That was what I thought if it's shot u.suppose I can get away with replacing this one shaft the rest has more that normal slop buy I really don't wanna rebuild at this moment can't afford it or the down time
