Can anybody give me an estimate at what an MC331 265PSI weighs by itself. I've done some research and according to countryside tank company theyre about 20k or ss (10600 gal) just wondering if the older ones were any lighter than the newer ones. Again just a ball park if anybody has an idea I don't trust a manufacturer's weight on a website.

Let me pull my cat scale tickets and I'll let you know. I pull 4 trailers, 2 2015 countryside & 2 1973 who knows what brand
I usually scale mt been 43,300-44,200. My truck weighs about 21,000 with full fuel, but I'm never full when I scale.379exhd Thanks this. -
####...Well that's a little heavier than I wanted to be but oh well guess it happens. Idk exactly what my truck weighs I'm 30k with my cornhusker grain trailer and I figure that trailer weighs 10500 or so. But I'm not sure.
That gives me a ball park which is what I'm looking for if it's too much of a pain don't worry about the scale tickets but thank you very much for giving me a ball park!!! -
It depends on size and age of trailer. I had a doubled framed truck with an 11400 and hit scales 44700 empty and 100 gals of fuel. But had driven a aluminum framed truck with an 2012 model 11200 trailer and could be under 80k with 9300 gals loaded

So I had a chance to look over the past couple of weeks MT weights. Seems to be that older tanks are about the same overall weight as a new 331. Obviously, MT weights are going to fluctuate because of the amount of fuel in my tanks and if there is any product left in the tanker, but there isn't more then about a 500# swing.
I believe my truck is about 21,000 with full fuel and me. Since I am never full when I scale, i'm somewhere in the 3/4 - 2/3 full so that would put my MT weight around 20,400 - 20,700. So an MT countryside 331 tank is about 22,250 give or take a 100# either way.

Wow the same weight? Westmor, Mississippi Tank, and Countryside seem to all advertise lighter weights with newer units. But most companies purchase Polar mc331 tankers as of late. I'm not sure if there lighter or cheaper. There is a lpg company that has there trucks and trailers speced out to handle 9000 gals of butane and still weigh out under 80k

I'm not exactly sure who the manufacture of the older tanks is, but I was kind of surprised myself.
I haul DME, so honestly, I don't know exactly how many gal they load, it's always 16,000kg. If my math is correct, it's just under 6,000 gal. Customer has an 18,000 gal tank and a trailer fills the tank about 33% ( 5940 gal ) -
Weight of trailer also depends on what psi they are rated for. I haul anhydrous ammonia, you have to have bottle rated at 265 psi which is heavier than a 250 psi rated. Propane only has to be rated at 250 psi. I don't know what they haul with it but i did see a trailer for sale that was rated at 125 psi and said curb weight was 17000lbs.

All our trailers are 265s which costs us a tad bit of payload on propane but propane is just fill in work for the most part in the winter. If I can manage to get half ### close to 19 or 20 ton I'll be happy.
The local nitrogen plant doesn't care for the most part what a person is leaving at gross long as it's under 85% now the urea plan with ammonia storage that's 1/4 down the road won't let a truck leave over gross.
Thanks for the replies and the scale tickets it's been a big help!!!! Any tips on ammonia I'd appreciate that as well.
Have a good one y'all be safe.
