Bundy, I got on the list officially on july 25th, they told me today that I was scheduled for sunday orientation. I already had my CDL so I dont know if that speeded up the process. The total amount of time was 24 days so when they tell you a month they arent kidding......I think it you are making a good decision with them, from what Ive learned on here, and talking to their drivers(I have spoken to 8 here locally) I have yet to hear anything negative......The wait is ( I think ) lots of people and not too many trainers.....The recruiter told me today the drivers had to be with the company 10 years in order to train.......That sounds like a long time to me but it is what he told me..................I guess time will tell when I train..........By the way I think 4 weeks is about right to learn what you need to know.......that is how long we trained people in the bread business and they still didnt know shemp when they were turned loose......... but ya gotta start somewhere....... right..........Wonderman

they start the time from when you get approved by the hiring commitee.....before that you have to get all the hoops jumped through......Dac,mvr,record,job history, this is all pretty standard stuff seems to me with any company........Wonderman

Go to the closest truck stop and find some of their drivers, most will talk to you if you approach and are not too pushy. The drivers I spoke with allowed me to look at the truck and were really high on this company. I had time so I waited and have enjoyed the time with my kids. When I start driving I will be glad I did..............Wonderman

You are already ahead in the game if you have been studying your dmv book..Just remember on the inspection to repeat everything for every axle and you will be ahead in the game....when I got done with my walk around and got into the cab the tester informed me that if I could identify 3 things in the cab I passed..........He was kinda funny but a really nice guy.............needless to say I passed ........you just need to take your time and not get too stressed.........Wonderman
