I have applied with Maverick and talked with Adam a few times. It has been 6 business days and my current employer has yet to hear from them for conformation I work. Adam has told me everything was looking good they were just waiting on that. It seemed to me before when I would apply to a company they would get me rolling within a week. I'm just excited about getting back out there. Does it usually take a few weeks to process?

Logans- It took me several weeks for a solid answer. I am not sure the whole process..but I can tell you they are pretty thorough.

Thanks for that brother. I was wondering about that. I am glad they are thorough. One thing I don't like is, running around being as professional as I can be, when I hear a story about a fellow driver acting like a complete goof. It sets the tone for the way others view you and the company. That is what makes me rethink trucking sometimes.

I might be wrong but I believe in 2011 Maverick processed over 34,000 applications and from that hired about 800.

You can go to the portal and see where you are in the process. Many times it is them waiting for your previous employers to answer back to them.

That number floats around. It was 16,000 when I went through. Either way it's a load of apps. It's been about 8 months now and I've moved up 500 spots on the pecking order list. It's got to be tough enough just trying to find people who will stay let alone wanting them to (someone, somewhere is screaming "who hired that guy" every time my name is mentioned, I'm sure).

wait to you see how long it takes you to get the top 400. That's what I call maverick core drivers basically been here for five years or longer.

I can see from looking at the hire dates that the Law of Diminishing Returns is already starting to take effect.
