All of the trucks I drove were "close" to a twin sized mattress.
Truck mattresses aren't a standard size in the non trucking world.
Twin sheets will be a bit bigger than the standard truck mattress.
If you get the top bunk ....... I have no idea.
Take a twin fitted (it'll be too large) and then a sleeping bag.

I got two twin flat sheets... just tuck the one in all around... it'll work for the bottom sheet. A fitted sheet won't *fit*, not long enough. Even the sleeping bag, when opened up is too short. But hey.. .not many drivers are 8'6" anyway.

I use a full flat sheet on the bottom over a 2" memory foam pad and a twin on top. The full wraps and stays in place better.

Seconding the Twin XL thing. Wait for back-to-school to roll around, when it's getting time for all the college freshman to load up for their new experience. College dorms almost universally use Twin XL mattresses, and so Twin XL (Extra Long) goes on sale in a big way at the end of summer.

Fitted sheet covers up the Pete 387 mattress (the lower bunk, anyway) just fine, thank you very much.

On topic: You are correct this is what I do as well.

Off topic: Kudos. I have read some of your post on other threads and I must say it is refreshing to read. You're far more experienced / intelligent then about 98 percent of truckers out there. We need more people like you and I in the trucking industry if were ever going to restore pride to our industry.

I look forward to continue reading your post. You're one of few spreading positive knowledge. Take and be safe like always.
