Martin transportation syaytems MTS/RTS

all the guys are gone now me (Bigred) im otr for Detoit area company i see MTS drivers in Laredo but there from other terminals take care all former Burton drivers

 

red, who do you run for now? i just managed to finally wiggle my way into an LTL job in buffalo, where i moved after mts shut down. i just looked at the old terminal on davison rd, there is nothing there except a bunch of trailers that look like they are oos from other companies. just drove through the other weekend while visiting my parents.

so ALL of those guys are gone? i talked to a guy at delphi that told me that they moved them over to LSI and never saw him again about a year and a half ago, so they are ALL nonunion now?

at this point, running linehaul LTL, i no longer miss MTS, although it was good money for what it was.

 

Yea they got rid of the rest of them 2 guys Steve Gerky and the older black guy cant remember his name drive for Rich Logistics Don Brula he is setting on his ### drawing un employment dont know what they did with Mike Eddy AND tough guy Larry i hope i never run into them ever in my life somthing might snap ME i drive for a expoditer Metro manly haul all of Michigan to the Mexican boarder Laredo Eagle Pass & EL Paso

Mike Eddy is still working for them but I am not sure where. Larry was running for some public office when I worked there back in 05. Not sure what he is up to now nor do I care.

 

man that sucks, i dont blame you for wanting to snap on larry, guy was a prick. Mark williams had a triple bypass huh? i was wondering what he did after the layoff, Im suprised that the local didn't get him a job somewhere else, considering the #### he had to put up with at Martin. hell, they are probably the reason for his heart problems....

 

Martin transportation systems MTS is a bad place to work stay a way go any where but ther now thay have e-logs to top it off DOT made them run e-logs the owner is a pc of you know what also you get a tickit thay will run you off because there rating so bad the new CSA you get points thay do to but if thay run you off the points drop off for them

 

I just had an interview with the terminal manager in Tampa on Friday. He asked me if I knew how to fill out log books because they still use them so something doesn't add up in this post.

I read the first posts from 2008 and I'm wondering if things have changed there? I have only heard bad things about Martin here on this forum and then only from a few people. I'm wondering if it may be that they're just pissed or something.

Anyway, current information from current drivers would be nice. Anyone?

I was the MTS driver of the month in June 07. A few months later, I decided that I would rather be unemployed than work another day there. Dispatch drove me nuts.

Did you end up working for them?? I've never seen them in Tampa... do they go by a different name there???
