martin transport, inc. Is it that awful?

    Martin has a terminal in Plainview, TX and I have been considering applying there. But all I have read is negatives. I know how the internet truth/anger/disgruntled employee formula works, but even applying the standard correction factor of 85% BS it looks like a bad company.
    Any of you guys have more info?

    If you're reading a lot of negative reviews then chances are it's true.I can see a few ppl saying bad things but hundreds?Surely they all can't be wrong.Unless you're 100% positive you want to drive for Martin I would suggest finding another company that you feel more positive about.

    Pattyj is right.(God I hate to say that). :) They attract more negative posts than most companies.

    Nd they recently add their automatic detention pay to get them in nd i know some of guys will be like oh they pay detention i will work for them nd later on come back to this forum nd be like how many miles you average a week at martin transport.

    Always something,sad most learn the hard way.It could take a few yrs before they find the right fit.Craigs list has so many ads that sounds real good till you call them.

    This is the TANKER Sub-forum. Is it possible he in talking about the Martin Transport, Kilgore,TX. Oddly enough, they are a tanker company with a terminal in Plainview,TX.

    So what are you thinking, tanker or refrigerated? Lots of threads, even a sub-forum on the refrigerated company. Not near as much on the tanker company. One has mostly blue tractors of various makes, the other has white Macks. Which one are you interested in?

    You got it, white macks pulling tankers. Marten is the big reefer company. There are a lot of other Martin truck companies as well, why they don't use other names is beyond me.
