Mall of America, Minneapolis, MN

There is a parking lot across the street from the mall itself (north side). There are frequently large rigs parked in the furthest part of the lot. Just be mindful that is very near the Airport, so it may be noisy at odd hours.

There is a couple of chain restraunts (Applebees, FuddRuckers?) to the south of the mall, can't be seen from the parking lot on the north side(if the BF doesn't want to deal with a bunch of screaming kids and gangbanger wannabe's). There are also no less than 8 hotels within walking distance of the parking lot. Four across the street from the lot, and 4 next to the Restraunts on the south side.

 

There is no overnight parking at the MOA! While they're open, no problem.

 

Yeah, I used to see those signs too. Still, there are always trucks parked in the back of that lot.
Near, the hotels across the street.
That may be where the driver are sleeping?

 

Mall security chases you out at closing hours.... If you try to play the "I'm out of hours & can't move" card, then they will gladly call a wrecker.

 

I didn't think the mall owned that lot.

But I've been wrong before.

 

I took a look at the Mall of America webpage and then clicked on the mall security tab. Someone there must have anticipated drivers wanting to park at the Mall of America because two-thirds of the way down the page is a listing for nearby truck stops ...
