Everything relies on software. There are no exclusions.
The software is the only thing that makes the hardware useful.

opt out..opt in call 855-755-4400 follow prompts. It does work off of cell phone tower triangulation. Is not really that accurate of a location device. Gets them within a 5 mile radius.

    I h
Funny you say that. I had a delivery last week, got to the receiver the night before, set my alarm for 8am, put the phone on silent and went to sleep. Woke up to 6 missed calls from broker. Called them back to find out that they were freaking out, cause Macropoint was showing me 400 miles away from the receiver

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

The Qualcom will do that as well.
I'll get a message saying that I can't make the delivery time because the system sees me too far away, when I am right on time.

It is too funny when the tracking systems freak out, and cause everyone else to freak.

    SingingWolf and Lepton1 Thank this.

I would wipe your phone and never let anyone track you again.

That being said, however, a load could always have a GPS tracker in it as well.

A load with a GPS tracker is no big deal. Once delivered. tracker gone.

Right but my point is that the other company might not have been tracking his phone but rather their load. Just one possibility.

They wouldn't need your phone then if they have their own tracker.

    You are missing the point.

OP thought that he hadn't gotten rid of the software because a different company had tracked him. My point is that perhaps he did get rid of the software, the different company was tracking his load through their own GPS tracker inside the load and not through any software on his phone.

Qualcomm is plenty. Anyone such as a dispatcher will find you to within 10 feet of your actual location anywhere in North America in a few moments.

Why would a broker be given even more oppertunities to bother you with incessant phone calls and tracking more than you are already being tracked under a load via Qualcomm. That cell phone app is not your friend.

IF a broker wants to track you, have him contact your dispatcher and leave you alone. Remember with today's laws prohibiting your talking and driving the less time you are bothered by broker on the cell of all things is more time to be moving forward closer to your destination.
