    Hello,

I've got a CEL and a SPM code of 3031 which is invalid DEF tank temperature. Of course this also means no DEF consumption.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this short of replacing the sensor? Check connections etc? Where is the sensor located?

    Thanks

Also SPN 1569 and 3363 which I believe are all related to this DEF tank temp.

DEF tem. sensor is installed in DEF tank intake column. it is combined with DEF level sensor. So start with connector. it is weak thing becouse if DEF was spilled on cooper wires they gonna be corroded.

What engine do you have? Cummins ore Mercedes?

I have no easy answer to your quation.

This is AdBlue tank temperature problem.

U need Tech Tool to read freeze frame of faut code and tell me temperature of DEF recorded

may be really frozen fluid cant be melt with coolant flow, may be bad coolant valve ore may be really faulty DEF tank sensor built in sender unit

I have have the truck in the shop today. The code was gone next day. The service manager told me they are going to test the DEF pump make sure is working. He thinks either the heater for the DEF or the temp sensor could be the problem cause I used enough def even more than usually so pump is working for sure.
