Changing the oil in a Eaton/Fuller 8LL transmission. ('95 KW T800 truck)
I just got this truck, and there is no manual. I was planning to use 75w-90 synthetic. Is that OK? Anything better?
Thanks.

I think most people use 50w. I use 80-90 in mine. I prefer the heavier weight in mine since it's an off road truck and used only in warm weather.

Go to roadranger.com and download Eaton's lube manual for your tranny.

Better still, contact an AMSOIL dealer and put really good stuff in it. PM me if you want a referral to one. They can tell you what and how much you need and help you get it.

Check out this chart and it will be clearer:

Thanks for all your help.
I'll try to find a bucket of the 50w on Monday. -
