Has anybody heard of this job description before?
    Job Description

Bait and switch? Fly you out to recover abandoned trucks then deliver the load...

No, they fly you out (paid travel, but unpaid time) to a truck that you run OTR for 3 weeks, then they fly you home (paid travel, unpaid time) where you sit for a week. Rinse and repeat. For $60k/year, so they say. Not a bad gig if that's something you'd be happy with.

$60k for any driving job is terrible, but especially for OTR.

I enjoy flying. But not the TSA now that they have official immunity from inappropriate abuse by groping.

If they really want to pay for flying there is a relatively decent field with ILS and level 2 approach a few miles distant. A King Air charter will get me anywhere in the USA soon enough at any time or a time shared very light jet which would be pretty cheap compared to a commercial and the losses in time getting in and out of major airports.

If a company is really engaged in that kind of work and has need of a plane they should have time shared a light jet on all three coasts already ready to go 24/7.

prolly fly you out via the landing gear hold, then fly you back inside a casket with a dead body.

Not really when you consider you're only working 3 weeks per month.
