Its not the first time. Memphis has always been Gangland central with knifes and guns. You should see their Clementine Housing area. Long guns all over the property by the dozen.

I am guessing you are referring to the several truck stops actually in West Memphis AR. Yes, has been on my list of exits to stay clear of except in near emergency since I started trucking in 1976.

You would get knifed for sure if you were not super careful and express a body language that you too can take care of yourself. I have not been to that one in 24 years now on purpose. Its just not worth the danger at night.
But on the flip side, you will have a thousand sellers of whatever you want provided you are the G man with cash. All you have to do is make noise.Sirscrapntruckalot and BackwoodsGA Thank this. -
I live on the north side of town and I tell anyone who dont live there, to plan your trip to where you don't stop there if it ain't necessary. Those truck stops can fill up quick as hell and many van and reefer drivers don't like to put a good padlock on their trailers. Its trucker friendly in terms of maneuverability, but for the person who ain't from there, it's too many truck stops within 100 miles to fuel and such if you dont have to deliver there

sounds like the aboriginals need some historical refresher training in how to people 101
