Losing your CDL

I have lost mine twice. I got a photo copy faxed from DMV for a temporary and got home to get new one as soon as I could. No problem.

 

good question. i guess i would be making a quick call to department of motor vehicles for advice. that did happen to me once,before i got my cdl. what a pain to replace stuff. but being on the road far from home and no wallet,thats got to be a nightmare.

 

Funny someone would ask my wallet fell out of pocket at home and I din't know it till nearly in jacksonville Fl. I used a copy I had stored on my pc till I got home.

 

At Miller in Milwaukee in the guard shack lies 6-7 drivers license's, they scan your dl before you leave with a load and apparently some forget to get theirs back

i have a picture of mine on my phone, and a copy in the truck... I also keep 2 cards (one low limit credit card, and one debit card I can transfer funds to) hidden in the truck, there have been times I left my wallet at home and didn't notice for 800+ miles...

 

Driving a CMV without a CDL on you is a serious violation too.

 

I have two. I went to DMV and told them I miss placed it and they made me another one. I use to carry one in my wallet and kept one in the sleeper. My trainer told me to do it. I never lost one but at least I had a back up plan.

 

I was worried bout u for a sec there road runner.
