looking to take over payments on trucks

i am looking for a truck to take over payment to become o/o can anybody give me some useful advice about how i would go about it. also about a company that i can lease onto. most companies with this lease/purchase will not accept me, because i don,t have recent otr exp. but i been driving since 1994, was doing local work since 2007. i have a misdemeanor charge in the same yr, the local companiy hired me back. most big companies wants 3 to 5 yrs waiting period. driving local now but not making any money under $500wk, if i am lucky.
