Looking for the best truck route into Washington DC

    Heading there tomorrow a few blocks from the white house. I don't want a ticket or worse. Any help is appreciated.

    PA down 95. Figured it out mostly with the truck map. Another driver just gave me local directions. Basically follow truck gps.

    I just don't want to get to close to the White House. You never know.

    Uuummm, naah!

    Use your head in this scenario.

    Force your GPS to avoid internal DC, from the top side.

    Depending on the destination location, wrt to the 495 loop, I always enter thru the nearest "piercing point" along 495 loop.

    Less head ache, quick in/out

    In 1975 as a young man, I was going into DC. I thought the GW Parkway looked like a good route to take. I was informed by a nice trouper that I had no business on that road and he informed me how to get my big rig off of the Parkway.

    I know he was a nice man because he didn't give the kid a ticket

    Don't know the best route cause I never went back:)
