Next week I will likely be moving a 2014 Cat D8T with a logging arch and winch on the back.
Does anyone know the width if I fully angle the blade?
All up weight with blade and arch?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes a power angle blade I was told. I haven't seen the dozer, just going with what I was told.
Its sitting up on the landing in the bush, and they are shut down from logging.
He wants it brought out, and hauled to kamloops.
I was hoping at full angle it would be under 12 feet wide is why I asked.
It has no ripper, but a winch and arch in its place.
I am guessing around 86,000 to 88,000 lbs but purely a guess.
If I can get it under 12 feet in width I can get permits and move it without pilot cars.
It is a 6 hour drive away, so not viable to just swing by for a look.

If it’s 12’ 10” wide it should angle under 12’

Oxbow, stwik, truckdad and 2 others Thank this.

I thought so, but it is great to hear a second opinion on that...thanks

Do you think an arch and winch would be a similar weight to a ripper?

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I'd think the arch and winch be heavier but without seeing the machine it's hard to say for sure.

Oxbow, truckdad and MartinFromBC Thank this.

I have moved many D5, D6, and D7 Cats with an arch, but this is my very first D8 with and arch.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
