Got a question I'm hopin to find an answer to. Which tractor has the longest hood? W900, 379EXD, Classic XL, 9900IX......... I'm talkin actual hood not BBC.

I forget the actual measurement, but the 900A long hood had a big hood. Other members will give you better info........

iirc 900L has the longest w900 hood, but i havent compared to other trucks.

The Western Star EX hood must be right there also?

I do not remember the model, but when I was in Alberta, 20 plus years ago we had a group of confessionals with 12V 71's and the gear shift lever was kinked about afoot. It had hydraulic cylinders to lift it. It was great to work on, but on a drive you could not see the road for a long ways ahead.

. Funny how the classic had the longest hood for the longest time and not many people knew it. Plus it doesn't look as long as it is, so its not noticed as much.
This is what I read somewhere so don't ask me for measurements, I haven't a clue. -
I just measured my Classic XL hood. Exactly 72 inches.
