After reading your comment, I was a bit intrigued... as I don't share the exact same views as you do (I believe they have every right to come get the truck if you miss payments no matter WHAT the reason) You are obligated to make good on your SIGNED lease deal. Also, I am sure if you gave someone $50,000 and they missed some payments, you'd be the 1st one taking legal action too!!!
But anyways, after reading this, i remembered seeing a little GPS unit tucked up behind the dash of the truck that I am buying (not thru Lone Mtn.) and looked a bit harder today... it is a CalAmp tracking unit that uses GPS location. I removed the unit and am going to call the dealership i got the truck from and inquire about...or maybe I shouldn't![]()

Quoted from Black 379's avatar. Were you born an #######, or did you work at it your whole life?
I have worked very hard at it but it just comes natural now and I enjoy it. Wouldn't have it any other way. Really I just got tired of all the political correctness and phony politeness that isn't genuine. Now I just say what I think and if people don't like it then that is their problem.groundpounder, Black_379 and SHC Thank this. -

No one should have the extra edge on you when you filled out your credit application they no where you work live etc etc etc etc i have heard from drivers who have been late and the repo man shows up where they are with a loaded trailer takes the tractor leaves you and you stuff where you are in the street with a loaded trailer and no tractor revenue lost rig lost and driver in the street loosing most of there stuff and have it reported to dac as an abondoment because the bank had that extra edge to find you or maybe you were waiting to get paid to catch up or whatever no one should have this extra edge on a working person.

Several years ago, during another downturn in the economy, lenders stopped repossessing trucks because they had so many who had defaulted. I met one guy who tried to turn in his truck but his lender didn't want to take it back. Lenders tend to work with you more if you are upside down in your equipment or owe a lot. If the equipment is almost paid off or you have a lot of equity they are less likely to work with you to get the payments caught up.
SHC and volvodriver01 Thank this. -
"I was just a FEW months behind and they came and took my truck"
I can also gurrantee that the owner never called the bank to try to work out an arrangement. Most places will work with you, and if they won't, they will usually tell you when they will be there to get it.
As for the guy talking about them just showing up while on the road, I have NEVER heard of this, and it sounds to me like one of them buffet couter stories -
I agree, SHC, most lenders will work with borrowers if they will communicate with them. If you are having a hard time making your payments you need to get in touch with your lender and explain what is going on. They will most likely help you by reducing your monthly payments, extend the length of time that your loan needs to be paid, reduce your interest rate or perhaps put the back payments on the tail end of the loan to bring it current. But, you won't know what they will do until you talk with them.
The last thing a lender wants is your truck. They would much rather have your money. So, if they can help you to more easily pay them then they are ahead of the game. They will keep a customer and they don't have to worry about hassling with selling your truck. They can't do anything unless you call them.SHC, volvodriver01, companyman and 1 other person Thank this.
