So I used to be a car hauler back in the UK before I came over to the States. My last set up over there was a Euro Lohr. Anyway I'm always just checking out car haulers over here when i pass em or they pass me. Any how this week i passed a Lohr trailer in Idaho. Truck was based back east, just surprised me a bit cause I'd never seen one over here. Been here nearly 8 years. Just wandering if theres many of them over here.

They are built in USA for past couple years, I seen them in person and they have couple cool ideas. Spoke with the drivers and not every one seem to like them. I guess every one is used to Cottrell. I hope they will make some Quality trailers so they don't rust like cottrell. Lohr uses galvanized material to prevent rusting, Cottrell rusts in 2-4 years because of poor engineering and poor material quality. Lohr already is doing updates to they trailers because they found problems in design. Cottrell 5309 high mount trailer is built from a 1999 and it took them 15 years to figure out that there is week point and make reinforcement on 2014 MY, also this problem existed on 7 Car stinger trailer where it never got corrected.

That Lohr trailer I had over there was the dogs bollocks!!! Loved it. Always had Transport Engineering trailers before which was a uk manufacturer. Decent trailers but that Lohr was a better trailer. Good I hope they do well over here.

Lohr bought out Delavan quite awhile back. Changed the name in the last couple of years, and started building their new design racks.

I've got a friend who loves the one he's running. Not sure how it would hold up to all the diesels I haul, but does fine with the imports.

Mmmm funny you say that. I was thinking about the heavier diesels and wandering how it'd hold up. Imports no problem yeah.
