I think the green line was throwing me. I think the 8 hour extension would have been 4:00.

I am only seeing one log image? Is everyone else only seeing one image? I do not see but a 2 hour break, I can't confirm the break before or after that 2 was an 8 or a 10?

I do however see whatever system it's keyed under is saying he is in violation (or maybe that green line means something else?)

Until that log shows a 10 hour CONSECUTIVE break or an 8 & 2 hour break you just can't tell who is wrong or right:biggrin_2556:

I think what he meant is what I meant. of course you know what happened previously...

    but we didn't know....

depending on your day of the 7th log, your day of the 8th log could have been illegal.

on the 7th if you had logged off duty all day/ then driven 6 hours/ then taken an 8hour break (10pm-6 as I remember)/ then driven another 5.5 hours ending your 14 hour duty cycle. you'd have been illegal.

    do whaaa diddyyyy sha boom...

Ok your original 14 hour started # 5:30 pm so that means your original 14 hour ended # 7:30 am (the next day of course)
You had an 8 hour sleeper break so that extends your 14 hour to 3:30 pm. Now the driving time from 5:30 pm the day
until 3:30 pm the next day can not total more than 11 hours!
In your scenario you are not in violation because your driving time did not total more than 11 hours and you did not drive passed
5:30 pm . Once you completed that 2 hour break your 14 hour now resets from the end of the 8 hour break (which meaning
would make your 14 hour restart # 6:00 am on day 2. So your new 14 hour ends # 8:00 pm. Again not in violation
because your driving time prior to the 2 and after the 2 does not total more than 11 hours driving and you did not drive passed
8:00 pm. YOu are not in violation by being on line 4 for your inspection because DOT states you can not DRIVE passed
the 14th hour, you can work all you want.

DID I PASS, DID I PASS, DID I PASS

Oh and I guess maybe I had one 2 many or maybe I was answering 2 in one message (I do that allot) sorry. Guess you do know huh!

DID I PASS THE TEST THOUGH? What I want to know is did you get a violation for this same log sheet? On day 3 did you take an 8 or 10 hour break?

    DARN I AM GOOD:biggrin_25525:

So are you! Isn't split breaking very very easy?

Help me convince these drivers so maybe, just MAYBE they will log legal and still be happy:biggrin_2556:

Did I teach you how to split? :biggrin_25510:

He is using DDL, that green line is just a time pointer for entering data in DDL.

    Mark

PS..DDL is the best thing to help with logging. It makes planning a run some much easer. Makes adjustments with out having to make a round file full of paper.

AWWW he is BUSTED:). I know what DDL is, but hey if it helps him run legal and use his time wisely I am still very impressed :).

However I did my math work off the log images, NO COMPUTER. So I AM DARN GOOD :). RIGHT:biggrin_25524:
