If you have an IPhone, the "Notes" app can be used as a scanner. I use it quite often to scan documents into a PDF file. It's very easy:

    - Lay the document you wish to scan on a desk, table, etc...
    - Open the Notes app on your IPhone (I have a 13)
    - Open a note, or create a new one
    - Tap the little camera icon at the bottom of the screen. It will pop up an options list of "Scan Text", "Take a photo or video", "Scan Documents", "Choose Photo or Video"
    - Choose the "Scan Documents". It will then open up the camera
    - Hover the camera over the document and it will automatically take the pic. You can flip the page and scan the next, and so forth until you're done.
    - Click save at the bottom

You're done. You'll now have a note with all of the documents saved in it that you can forward as a text, email, etc... It will be sent as a PDF file.

I would highly recommend NOT saving logbooks past that tax year. I once asked a Tax Attorney about the IRS and ALL tax records. Here is the thing. @ZVar has correctly stated the IRS generally limits its scope to the last 7 years. If my memory serves they are also limited to keeping routine tax matters inside that 7-year window. WITH ONE KEY EXCEPTION! If they can see/find fraud the IRS can go back as far as they can find records.

    Great article LINK!

You can hire someone on the web site/app Fiver and have them scan them in for you. You and the "scanner" just need to agree on the price.
