All the major truck stops have apps. You can filter at least the T/A one for preferences, like gyms, certain restaurants, etc...
-
You won't find many truck stops with gyms.
-
Ta s across 70&40 some of em got em
Lebanon tn has a nice one and self checkout scanners
Why all large truck stops don't have them?
Idk... -
yeah not many have them, havent found one in CA yet with one either but I assume some of the TA/petro might have a gym
the pilot off the 395 in Hesperia has self checkout scanners too, they told me there are 4 pilots so far with them in a testing phase, 3 in tn and 1 in CA -
I know 2 guys that hit gyms while otr one finds a lot of YMCAs and another uses a big fitness chain. Neither have trouble with truck parking.

Very few truck stops have gyms. Some company terminals have gyms in them.
Your best shot at getting a daily workout is running a few miles a day. I seen one guy at USX who had a bike attached to the front of his truck. He had his whole gear on him. He would park at night then transform into Lance Armstrongs trucker cousin.
When you drive team, that truck is running non-stop. Even when you are short on hours....the company might give you a short load or have you pick it up then get as far as you can then repower it. -
I finally was able to try out a "gym" at a Petro. It's a closet sized room with I think an elliptical and a cable rack. The one I visited seemed to have most of it's accessories and everything worked. No towels, no water. In other words, not much to go out of your way for.
IMO you're better off doing body weight exercises in the truck, maybe carrying some free weights or bands as well. Paul's suggestion is a good one as well if your schedule/route/equipment permit it. Most gyms offer some sort of guest rate if you ask. Show them your out of the area ID and maybe proof that you are a member of a gym at home. I found most will just let you work out once for free. A few might charge a few dollars.
Avoid the high-end mega gyms. They're the ones that will charge you $$ for a one time visit and waste a half hour while the twentysomething maroon behind the counter tries to sell you a membership to a gym you'll probably never be at again. A national membership won't do you much good unless you run the same route all the time and can get to their locations to use it when you need to. -
Just get couple of 'lizards" to give you a GOOD workout
And YES I am being sarcasticCargoWahgo and CenutryClass Thank this. -
Hang out at a grocery warehouse you can get a workout plus get paid for it!!
