O/O division. Heck their company road fleet isn’t that old. Under 10 years. Used to be all O/O’s for that

Duie Pyle has been around since the 20's. I've never seen any of their O'O's. Thousands of company trucks painted Dewey Pyle Tangerine,as it was called.

Try looking into Union barns. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of Union shops use O/O's. Wakefern/Food Haulers around Elizabeth NJ are Teamster's. Same with Jack Cooper in Newark, car hauling. Lucrative Union contracts. Teamster's O/O. Cassens Transport in Newark is also Teamster's, car hauling.

A lot of Food Companies use O/O's. Johanna Farms I heard is all O/O. Dietz & Watson in Philly is Teamster's (Local 463) and they use O/O's. Same with Bimbo Bakeries/Grocery Haulers in NJ and PA. Coke in Philly is Local 803, and they might use O/O's. ACME in Denver PA is Local 500 and they use a lot of O/O's. Dean Foods and HP Hood are Teamster's hauling milk and they might hire O/O's., etc., etc. etc. Most Food Distributors tend to use O/O's.

You can also try looking into LTL...like Forward Air, Roadrunner, XPO, UPS Freight (garbage rates from what I read).

Then you got others like Landstar, FedEx Custom Critical, Mail Contractors, etc.

    Superior, Trimac, Dana, etc.

    DougA Thanks this.

True...but what have you got to lose.

JED Trucking in Newark is Teamster's...and they do Wakefern/ShopRite loads. Not as good as Food Haulers...but it's a foot in the door. OWNER OPERATOR'S LOCAL DEDICATED WAKEFERN ACCOUNT Job in Newark, NJ at JED Trucking

You can also try looking on Craigslist. Lots of opportunities for O/O's.

    Well what else is there?

Philadelphia is a seriously difficult place. Not necessarily good for you. I suppose if that is home to you all your life, you don't know any better. (No offense)

I can think of a thousand things around the USA in 500+ towns and cities way better than Philly (And way worse than that place too.)

I spent about a year doing nothing but philly from Baltimore in container work. I just as soon as keep walking once that trucking company imploded for reasons of greed or money issues. Way above my paygrade.

    Moephilly1 Thanks this.
