100% correct and they don’t seems to follow contract agreements. I worked at the Ajax warehouse when it first opened in 2008 when schneider and canada cartage had the contracts it was 50/50 schneider and canada cartage. loblaws wanted to renew their contract with schneider after 3 years but apparently never paid the fuel surcharge that was in the contract. Schneider said no to a renewal because they were apparently losing money . They’re cheap mother ##$kers

Just to update, I take back everything good I ever said about Loblaws. Once they got their own fleet rolling in 2022, they TOTALLY didn't give a #### about any of their carriers anymore. Hell they even kicked Rig Logistics and Sandar trucking to the curb....literally! (tow trucks one night, just picked up all the tractors, and dropped them up and down the street on Freeport Blvd).

I got myself banned on purpose, just tell the checkin security to wipe their ### with the dock pass and choke on it. BOOM never have to go again!

there’s no loyalty with Loblaws with either long term employees or contractor , here’s an example at my local zehrs , loblaws had decided they would turn the current store into a superstore. Loblaws owned a bunch of land around this zehrs stores which also had an older factory and other businesses on their property. They forced those businesses to shut down and move and then to top it off they told the union and employees who some have been there 20 years and making probably close to $30 a hr that because they we’re going to be a superstore now that pay would be cut almost in half . they basically told employees and the union you can keep your job with the new pay or leave with severance.

Guess what happened next absolutely nothing Loblaws never did anything construction wise and the store still reminds a Zehrs , but they did rip down all the businesses forced to close up shop and did cut employees pay by half . Let’s not talk about the whole fixing of bread prices the weston family got caught doing

I hated delivering to any loblaws distribution center, 10+ hours everywhere. The warehouse guys are all union so they don't give a ####. Hopefully they are next.

Yea, such ########! The only way I survived, was Bison and Later IHaul were able to drop for unloading. My 2 Loblaws loads with Heyl early in my Career at Freeport Loblaws in Calgary, 18 hours in the door. I literally took the bus home (I live close) came back the next day, and they weren't done, never noticed I left the truck lol. I did have to do some Dry Good deliveries with my current outfit, but thats over now (thank god).

I do have to deal with Weston's Bakeries, the 68th Street SE DC used to be a disaster, but they actually have some decent guys now, which makes it a dream to deal with. The main bakery on 58th SE by the Blackfoot inn is such a ####ing disaster, I can't even describe it.

I used to deliver at Weston too. They aren't that bad and they give you some baked goods some days. Great guys honestly. But #### loblaws. Super high grocery prices all around. Is it a surprise that people who pull for loblaws are new Canadians in white cascadias and volvos?

Funny thing, I've only been in Canada 14 years, so I suppose I'm a new Canadian. And I bought a new white cascadia too. And I'm fairly often to be found delivering Moncton Loblaws. I just don't know how I'm going to handle the fact I don't make your high standards. But ill manage.

You don't need to. It's common stereotypes in the industry. Who cares what people think? I drive a red volvo.

Yours was primarily a racial and demographic stereotype I know that, but they're just ordinary blokes doing the same job as you, trying to get on like you are, and you and I aren't better than they are. I know from your posts you are a young man, you'll learn . I'm 65 now, I already did, but when you reread what you write, I hope you're not too proud.

I hope he is proud in what he wrote and doesn’t back down to individuals like your self . The biggest problem with this great country and the world in general now is no one has the Ba!!s to speak up in what they believe or are afraid to by getting attacked by people like yourself. If you go against the grain you’re the problem. I’m sorry that’s not the way the world should be . If you see something you don’t like you should be able to speak up . As a born Canadian seeing the crap that’s going around This once great country makes me sick . We don’t seem to have any strandards now with who they let in and with who is getting into this once great trucking industry. Why is it almost monthly now we read reports of mostly people from indian getting busted at the boarder trying to transport drugs across . Is that being racist or is it telling the truth

I’m not Anti immigration one bit ,in fact both my Grandparents came from the UK and Italy . Guess what they didn’t take hand outs or try to scam their way through life like a certain group of new Canadians coming over now . My Grandfather from the Uk worked on many big projects like the Avro Arrow , Canada space Arm and the Toronto docks . He came here with 50 cents in his pockets back in the 50s worked his ### off and made a life for himself and his Family. You can’t honestly tell me we’re selling the same type of new Canadians coming over now . There definitely seems to be alot more new comers coming over looking to take the easy way out . I’m blame the idiot in Ottawa over this mess

As far as CanadianHauler21 comments about new Canadians driving white Volvos or white Freightliners mostly .He’s not wrong many of the horrible drivers i see on a daily basis are driving volvo’s or freightliners . I can’t change the truth it is what it is . Some individuals like yourself don’t want to except the fact that this country and industry are in the toilet right now
