Hello, I am considering moving to Montana once I get out of the Army, and wondering if that would be a good place to be living as a truck driver. My main concerns are if I'd be able to get through to the house as much as somewhere else.

Check Careerbuilder website for the town you plan to live in.
Watkins & Shepard is headquartered in Missoula. -
Depends on where in Montana, as posted Missoula is a hub and of course Billings is a good size town by Montana standards.
Hope you like snow lol. -
It would be near one of the major cities in Montana, and snow doesn't bother me at all!

Gordon, Watkins & Shepard, Harrison, JE Williams and ReadyGo all based in Montana. Gordon is in Washington but hires in montana. Billings, Missoula, Great Falls, Good places to get hired.

Loads out of Montana are ALWAYS heavy! Dry vans haul talc, flour, sugar, beans, fiber board, and many other delightful 45,000+ pound loads out of there! It is a beautiful state though. The people who live there say they like the quality of life. It's too cold and expensive for me though!

Jim Palmer is also out of Missoula I believe. but I don't know if they accept new drivers or not... also JE Williams out of Billings

No diversity out there, what so ever smh.
If you like the cold weather, "the outdoors" and no diversity then go for it.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Jim Palmer is one of the higher paying carriers out of Montana. Keep that in mind. Montana is not cheap and have an even higher tax rate than Massachusetts. It's a beautiful state, every inch of it, especially northern Montana around Glacier National Park. It's also not an easy state to live in come winter.

I live in Missoula, I worked for Watkins Shepard and am with system transport now. I don't have any problem getting home. There is a lot of freight moving across 90
