I've got a few questions about the belt trailer,
First would it be cost effective to replace the 2 framless dump trailers I have now?
We haul a lot of hot top and crushed stone how do the belts hold up ?
Live bottom belt trailer?

Never hauled hot.I do haul a lot of various aggregate in my belt.Biggest problem is smaller stuff getting under the belt and chewing up the floor. My western 53 foot 4 axle weighs about 18000 pounds. Probably heavier than your frameless.

The weight is 14800 on the east trailer and the mac is 12000 , significant weight difference between the two .
We haul a lot of hot top in the summer months bu we are height limited to who and where we can haul, . with a belt we could haul for most anyone. The 5-7 thousand pound weight difference to a belt trailer may be ok it's only a few yards of mix but it opens the door for more hauling. -
Did some checking. My 10 year old western is on its second floor. Our 10 year old trinity trailers only been replaced once. Not too many problems with flaps. Our 3 drag chain units stay adjusted better than the 2 chain. We also sold all of our side dump and belly dumps. The belts are more profitable, running the north west.

I got a Trinity Trailer used and it payed for itself really quick because of the new jobs we could pick. They got a decent used trailer selection on their site.

I'm in Canada and have ran two brands. Four axle Trout River's and Raglan 5 axles. We haul everything from aggregate, salt, ashphalt to 90,000 pounds of steel coils in the Raglan's.
From what I see the belts and chains last about 5 years on average. And up here it is 21 to 25 grand to replace them. That is why many you see for sale or at auctions are 5 years old.
A dump trailer is more cost effective, but many places will not allow them any longer because of the roll over risks. Most of the mines up here won't even let you in with an end dump. -
I bought an 06 TK tri axle live bottom everything was already replaced. Owner said the next thing that would need to be replaced when it goes is the belt.
Where can I find a replacement system for it? Apparently I'm able to replace portions or the whole thing.
