    I would like to get into trucking but I have a problem. I have 4 misdemeanor charges
    1) 2002 - trespassing 11 years old
    2) 2003 - business solicitation 10 years old
    3) 2006 - drug paraphernalia 7 years old
    4) 2006 - drug paraphernalia 7 years old

    I applied at a company and the recruiter said I couldn't work for them. Are there any truckers with misdemeanor charges out there and were able to get a job trucking and do any truckers out there work for a company that they know that hires people with misdemeanor charges or can give me a list. Any help would be appreciated.

    They are out there but not the large fleets. Insurance companies have the final say in hiring these days and I'm sure the two drug convictions are the ones scaring them. Good luck.

    my my my you're in a pickle are'nt you.My guess would be the drug charges are whats hurting you.You may have to attend some program before companies will consider you.Many companies reccomend SAP program.

    I was just denied today by pam for a weed charge from 2018 that was a misdemeanor....i have no felonies at all on my record....i asked why they didnt catch it early amd they really couldnt provide any info. Im now thinking if i should just get my regular cdl permit and try my luck that way not really sure. They really gave me the run around because they ran my background before i even went to school and said i was fine.
