When i went to shut down the truck, none of the exterior light would not shut off, the High beams will not turn on, turning signal will not work, hazard lights wont work, and the interior dash lights stay on. I tried the dimmer switch for the dash lights but that didn't work. I tried turning the lights on and off several times while the truck was on/off to no effect. All light controls were working fine just 2 hours ago when I had stopped for my 30.

I had this happen in my cascadia try turning off your batteries for 30 mins. If you don't have a switch you'll need to unhook the cables. I latter was told this was caused by me not letting the truck completely boot up before starting, meaning I wasn't waiting for the gauges cycle before I turned the key all the way

ah ok that could make sense. My CDL school told me to do that but then my trainer told me it was a waste of time because you only needed to do that on older trucks.

Yeah the tech that told me said it's like your laptop starting without all the files loading. This was on a 2011 cascadia, not letting boot all the way can also start causing a lot of dash codes too

Not sure of your make of truck, but on a 2009 cascadia when I had that problem ..it was due to windshield leaking behind panels onto a cab ecm that caused that ...there are something like 7or8 computers on a cascadia

Take it to a mechanic so he can see what year, make, model truck you have, we can't see it from here so you'll have to tell us if you want real help.

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

A simple wiring and toggle switches works for me. But hey, let's make things more complicated

2012 Volvo.I got it to one of our terminals and the mechanic looked at it for a little while. He messed around with the and relays to no avail. He then disconnected the batteries and let it sit for 20 minutes or so and then reconnected them. After that everything works fine and he admitted he had no idea why that worked for what was initially wrong with it.

Yes, it is Volvo. If light switch goes bad, LCM turns on light! Pull LCM codes!!!
