We often haul light loads.. Under 1k lbs. I've hauled a trailer from Ohio to California for Paccar only to open the doors and find one small tote.

    This load takes the cake

I think I may actually have that beat!

many, many years ago a company I worked for had a customer (I believe located in) Attleboro, MA, named Texas Instruments.

I was sent there many times, as well as our local driver's (I was OTR/Regional), and this one time I had to pick up a load going to someplace in PA.

I was told to stay in the truck,. it'll only be all of 10-15 minute wait time. Then the loading dock guy comes out, hands me the BOL.

I go to pull out from the dock, to close the trailer doors.
I had ONE pallet with ONE item. The pallet weighs what, 30 lbs?
(they also actually put cleats under the pallet to keep it from moving during transit)

the item weighed all of about a quarter of a pound!!!!!!!!!!!

T/I (Texas Instruments), PAID for a FULL truck load rate (as they did NOT WANT any other freight, on that 53 foot trailer)! Back then, I think about $1.00 per mile. For about a 400-500 (??) mile trip!

I guess FedEx wasn't up to the task????

I do lightweight stuff 95% of the time anywhere between 1lbs to 500lbs.

We have trucks that run coast to coast with similar weight on a daily basis.

This morning i have just complete a run with a 6lbs pay load!
