About the only steerable lift axles I see around here are on tandem axle mixer trucks. They use that frame that mounts on the rear of the truck(I don't know the name of it) and increases the wheelbase when down with a steerable axle. I've only seen regular steer/drive tires on them. Every other dump truck here that has a lift axle is solid and runs either 385/65-22.5 or regular duals. The ones on the dump trailers tend to be non steering. A popular setup with the asphalt companies here seems to be about a 30-35 foot aluminum dump trailer with 2 lift axles with tires that look like they belong on a car.

To answer your question my guess would be no but I'd check with the manufacturer.

they do make 20k steerable you can run flotations on. however it not very often you can or want to put a full 20k on a steerable. you mostly see the really small tires on trucks using them for bridge law you only need to set about 8k lbs on the axle to be legal most the times. so you can get away with the 19.5's i run the small 22.5's like you would see on a car hauler or some low profile step decks on my pusher for bridge law loads.

if your permitted heavy haul it might be beneficial to have a 20k pusher but you still will run into issues getting your 5th wheel far enough forward to get weight to your steers running 20k on a pusher.

also remember that if your axle weight rating is less than your tires you can't put more weight on it than what your tires are rated for. so if you have a 12k steerable and 20k rated tires on it you can't put more than 12k on that axle
