I've seen quite a few drivers with bikes on the back of their trucks. Good excersize that, even if its only to a grocery store.

Today while getting the alternator fixed on our truck I watched a guy jog around the T/S a few times. I like to walk after dinner, my dogs appriciate it ( I need a bigger dog for when my husband doesn't want to walk with me). My poor little ankle bitters would try at least.

Lazy is lazy, behind a wheel or behind a desk, the desk jockey just has an easier time getting to good food is all.

Well I don't smoke, I drink once a month, drink water if is yellow you are not drinking enough, add tea to your diet (not that arizona) get yourself some tea bags and put one or 2 in a bottle of water and sweet to taste it has anti oxidants , some exercises help but if you are in the northern state go to any sport store and get you one of those resistance bands it feels like you are lifting weights it has help me out during this winter, if you have a double bunk truck turn it into your working out space sit ups and push ups can be done right there.

What scares you? The 15 year thing? I don't know how old you are but you should know: There is no "contract" on how long you will live. Everyday is a gift and yet-there is a chance you may die today.

Or is it the Trucker "lifestyle". You have CONTROL over that, and how you live your life on the road. I have worked in a factory as a youngster;and do believe I would be dead today if I would have stayed. The boredom. The rotating shifts. And yes the B.S.-just as much if not more than Trucking.

After I left the "factory" I was a flat roof "roofer" for 12 years or so. As# busting work..But payed well and was in GREAT shape. HOWEVER...A couple of friends are still there and my age or older...They do not know if they will make it the full course;-working in MN Winters and humid summers year after year have taken there toll..Arthritis and times of heat exhaustion will wear anyone down..What is their life-expectancy?

Maybe you will be one of those who will LOVE Trucking and this will help in your "life expectancy" and if not move on to something else. You will never know if you don't try.

Know this though. There is no easy way. With regards to this: Life is fair.
