We’ve discussed pay and such, but what about benefits. What do you pay if anything for your health insurance and what does it cover, like what is your deductible. I feel like a lot of drivers overlook what health insurance their company may offer. This can be a value of up to $1000 a month or more. So I’ll start with mine:

Health insurance I pay $62 weekly, it has a total $7000 annual deductible 70/30 split once $3500 is spent. 50% coverage for specialists, $35 copay for office visit, prescription coverage etc. pretty crappy coverage compared to what I’ve heard. Just the fact that I’ve got to spend $7000 before everything is fully covered.

dental is $10 weekly, typical discount coverage

Then they offer for purchase, the typical life insurance plans, disability plans, AFLAC and all that. But you got a pay for it.

no retirement but do offer a 401 K

vacation: one week first year, two weeks second year thereafter.

I pay $356 every 2 weeks for family health plan with a $4000 deductible. Our deductible was $3000 last year but they raised it in lieu of raising our payroll deductions.
Dental family plan is $72.26 every 2 weeks, but it doesn't cover too much.
I don't even bother with the vision plan.
No 401k, but do have a profit sharing plan. I only get 1 statement per year, and that statement is actually for the prior year. So the profit sharing plan could get run into the ground and I wouldn't know until the following year.
1 week PTO after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years.
I do get a company cell phone that I get to pick with unlimited data. They also just gave me a new blue tooth headset, but I have had my current one for about 10 years.
I also get to take my work truck home most nights, so that saves me alot of gas money and wear and tear on my car.
I am coming up on my 20 year anniversary, thinking about asking my boss for another week of vacation. I don't understand why the only 2 week vacation limit, I have heard from a reliable source that a few people who have been with the company over 25 years do have 3 weeks.

You about it line with my company. Seems awfully high premiums for the Bennies you’re getting. I remember the good ole days of a $500-$1000 deductible and then all was covered in full. Now even as a single I pay $280 a month for for an insurance policy I’ll likely never use unless I had a major illness. And then 10-1 odds your company fires you before you could get fully treated. It’s all a scam anymore.

$6.53 a week with for $2000 yearly dental work.

$26.63 for the medical. I dont even know if we have a deductible, but we have very modest copayments.

Before Chocolate Jesus and the Mad King changed the definition of, "insurance" to an optional tax for people with short memories and poor math skills I paid $50/mo. for a policy with a $100 annual deductible. I can now pay $150/wk for a policy with a $5,000 deductible. Meanwhile, a bunch of junkies and layabouts got, "free" insurance and the health insurance companies DOUBLED their profits!

I was paying about $40/week solo for an 80/20 Blue Cross Blue Shield full coverage health insurance + VSP vision + dental at a big company. I think my tanker company was charging $55 per week for solo coverage. My last employer had no benefits.
