So I am searching truckdriving jobs and have come across a TON of websites claiming to be 3rd party recruiters, etc. I was wondering if anyone has had an experience with any of these.
In particular, a "##########. They want me to fill out an application with all my information on it, then they claim my phone will be ringing off the hook with companies calling me. I seriously doubt the 'ringing off the hook' part, but I wondered if there might be a hint of truthfulness to it.
I hesitate to put all my info (including SSN) out there if no one can back them up.
Thanks in advance.

I would NOT TRUST ANY of them sites.
They are (in many instances) linked to the major carriers.
Also, some could be scams, just to steal your identity.
You would have better luck applying directly to the companies, Craig's List, Monster, Yahoo Hot Jobs.
I actually found my job via Craig's List. Many employers WILL advertise via Craig's List, as it's free over the cost of a printed ad in the local newspaper.
Good luck.123456 and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
Preciate it.. I'll keep on like I have been -- see a company name, look up their contact info, call directly.
Thanks again. -
Your phone will start ringing off the hook!...I will bet that if you wait until Monday during regular working hours that within 5 minutes of submitting your information JB Hunt will be calling you (nothing against JBH)...Then your email will start blowing up with job offers...
It will save you alot of time allowing you to choose who you wish to call back, and give your ego a boost knowing how in demand you actually are! Good luck. -
We don't advertise for them fly by night websites nor want them mentioned here. They have nothing to offer that you can't find on your own.
Look at the top of the page. "Trucking Jobs".
Or put your resume out there on CareerBuilder.co or Monster.com. Like Jaguar said, any multi-application you do, your phone will ring off the hook with a bunch of liars. JB Hunt called me for 6 months even after telling them to stop calling me. I literally had to cuss the last one out.
Don't look for an easy out. Do your homework.
I just read on a certain chicken trucking website they have an alert out on Craigslist.
Scammers are using it to get your pertinent info pretending to be trucking companies.
Plus the first crooked OO that acquired a 2nd wore out truck is going to put his ad on there. -
I'm doing what a lot of people are doing right now.. trying to find work. Unfortunately, my wife has informed me that if I am gone for more than 2 wks at a time, I'll be looking for a new family when I get back to the house. So.. kinda limits my possibilities (otherwise I'd probably be headin for Primeville or some such).
Perhaps we could leave the link up with a warning that it IS a scam..? I'd be glad to edit my post. It's up to you.
