I keep getting leg cramps at night. Only in one leg though. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of leg cramps, and muscle twitching? I usually drive 500 to 600 miles a day, pulling food grade smooth bore tank. I travle with my dog, and get excercise, try to eat healthy, only drink one cup of coffee a day. Thanks.

eat a banana sometime before bed. As for the cramps, when they happen push against the wall with your foot... thats what helps for me
bullhaulerswife and Bill104 Thank this. -
Are u drinking enough water I think u might be gettin dehydrated man.
Bill104 and bullhaulerswife Thank this. -
My oldest son used to have that problem. Nurse told him he needed more salt intake and it went away.
Salt will make you retain water so that you don't dehydrate I guess.Bill104 Thanks this. -
i had the same problem, i went to several doctors finally came up with a potassium deficancy... eat more bannas and drink lots of water..
bullhaulerswife and Bill104 Thank this. -
That's what I heard, dehydration and lack of Potassium. Banana's are loaded with potassium. Salt will help you retain water, but drinking will also. Be careful with the sodium intake.
I remember back in high school playing football. The coach use to make us take potassium and salt tablets for the same thing.
I hate cramps, especially when they won't let up. -
Potassium! A little trick too if you are getting that afternoon drag on a potassium tablet will perk you up a bit. its not a shot of caffeine, but it will help and will get rid of those cramps

Insert leg, release blade....no more leg cramps.CondoCruiser Thanks this. -
As an ex nurse turned truck driver... Please be careful with taking potassium if you have any kidney problems!! Excess potassium is excreted by the kidneys and if they aren't working right, they you can't get rid of it... To much and it can stop your heart!!
Just say'inBill104 Thanks this.
