I'm leaking oil where the injector harness goes through the motor. It's a '06 ved-12. Has anyone changed this harness? Also, thinking of trying some high temp flexible epoxy.

Just want to see what you guys think and hear how you fixed it. Thanks.....

It might have an O ring between it and the rocker box that you can replace . I have replaced the harness on my cat and it wasn't hard at all .

Unfortunatly there is only way to fix - cahcnge harness. People think it is bad o-ring, ouh no! there is rubber cylinder with dopt per wire, unfortunatly it is located in palce where there is oil puddle and below the oil level in head. Oil keeps leaking to ECM and slooowly destroy plastic and seelant of engine harnes connector, and finally lets water come inside ECM, and it is not all, oil inside ECM destroys voltage transformer insolation and in combination with vibration it leads to comletly short coil. Blow inside ECM voltage converter ruins board totally. It is funny to have good processor, flash and eprom on bad board and ECM cant be repared.

So oil in harnes may tatale EECU

Pablo is correct again.Common Volvo issue.New harness is updated to prevent future leaking (would be nice if they had recall).Tried many different products to seal it,none came close to working.good luck!

Whew. Some heavyweights in here. I've appreciated Pablo's posts for 7 years now. Welp, I have oil in the plug at the oil-level sensor on a 2012 VN with D13. I was idling 10 days ago and the ECM burned up. Due to parts shortages I had to install a Mack ECM and get it programmed. I'm not sure yet if I have a CCV leak or what but I imagine if you have this much oil in the harness plug for the oil-level sensor, it must be transmitting oil from that sensor, unless the CCV is leaking and that orange gasket (if that's what it is) is that bad at preventing leakage.

The ECM plugs did not seem soaked in any oil. Maybe a TINY amount might have gotten onto one ECM pin. Less than a single drop. So my hope is that I can clean this plug (and check the oil-pressure-sensor plug) and insert an anti-wicking jumper. (And change the oil-level sensor.)

Harness side, female plug, to oil-level sensor in 2012 Volvo D13 oil pan.

The anti-wicking harness is Volvo Part 22205127, which is designed to block the oil flow from D13 oil-level and oil-pressure sensors.

Posting here in case anyone has thoughts or experiences, and so someone else in the future can find some little piece of useful reference.
