i have a 3406b in my pete, the overflow hose from radiator is leaking very little. mostly like bubbly antifreeze. the truck has not overheated and runs 170 all day. the only thing i have done to this yesterday is open the water valves for the heater core. i replaced the radiator cap(16lb) tought it would fix it but its still leaking but not as much. please help.

Check the neck of the radiator for any dirt. Before replacing any cap test it, there is a gauge / pump that any dealer should have. When does it leak? After you shut the engine down? Do you have an overflow tank? Is this the hose from the radiator to the overflow tank or is it the hose from the overflow tank. I know a bunch of questions but I was a tech before a driver.

I'm not tech. But I believe you can have some leaking due to temperature changes. If you are not seeing a leak when operating, but find a small puddle under the truck after it has sat shut down overnight, could it be that expansion/contraction is causing some seepage?

As I said, I'm not a tech. This is just the first thing that I thought of.

its the hose from the radiator neck, small diameter. it leaks very little while driving and when i park it leaves some on the ground but then i have to top it off about a gallon.

When I don't plug my truck in at night and the temp drops a lot, the water pump leaks. I know i'll have to get if fixed one of these days, but as for now, no leaks while the water is warm and the gaskets are sealed because the metal is expanded.
