CYBERTRUCKER SUX - Period! Flimsy, made from fender mount brackets - and it WILL DAMAGE YOUR LAPTOP! (been there - had that done to me) CYBERTRUCKER is junk, and it's cab intrusive - but most laptop mounts are. A laptop stand is (usually) mounted to your right, and as with any "laptop stand" YOU MUST take your eyes off the road to use view the computer or to use the keys. GOOD LUCK with that...
Most people with laptops know that laptops are (conveniently) portable - they are NOT MOBILE. Strongly suggest you forget about purchasing a laptop or laptop stand and simply buy a mobile computer system designed/built with shock and vibration resistant components. They are 12V - no inverters/battery chargers; start up and shut off with the vehicle/truck - no surging. Monitor is 7 or 8 inch larger monitors are available - and you mount the monitor in front of you so you DO NOT DIVERT YOUR EYES FROM THE ROAD! The monitors are "touch screen" and most will even accept additional (remote) cameras - blind side, rear mount for reversing, even place one in the trailer and monitor loading/unloading from the comfort of your cab/sleeper (great for shippers/receivers that will not allow drivers on the dock).
Handheld remote "mouse", built in WIFI & extgeranl antenna, PC Card port. BLUETOOTH, accepts wireless keyboards and more! Does everything a PC/Laptop can do but designed specifically for vehicles. With a larger LCD flat panel TV that accepts a computer signal for the bunk and you have all you need to watch TV/DVDs/CDs), read your email, surf the net, play video games on either screen. An audio signal adapter will allow you to route computer audio (CD/DVD/MP3s/etc...) through the trucks existing stereo system.
Whatever you want or need to do with a laptop or PC, you can do on a mobile computer without the need to purchase - or tote back and forth - a truckload of AUDIO/VIDEO/COMPUTER/GPS devices or components or go through the hassles of installing an intrusive laptop stand. And a laptop mount means there is a laptop nearby - just ask any "smash and grab" artist! With a mobile system, only the removable monitor is potentially "exposed" to a would be thief... and it will fit in your tote bag/briefcase. The computer itself is mounted (fastened) to the truck (usually out of sight). Even the DVD(R)/CD(R) is remote from the computer. Why compromise? Contact me privately for more info

This is my first post and i wish to be a usefull one for everybody.
The best laptop mount i ever used (and i have 3 years with it) is bought from internet , but i cannot give the adress because the forum policy.
Is not cheap but is worth. I swear is strong and reliable. After 3 years mine is in perfect shape and the laptop has the same age and still in good shape also.
If any question please feel free to shoot.
Respect for everyone here ! -
I use a mount made by First Mobile Technoligies of Conshohocken PA. It has a pole that I secured under one of the screws that holds the shift lever boot, with a piece of flat stock secured to the base of the passenger seat, another piece of flat stock secured to the underside of the dash. I use a 12" top, tilt swivel, universial tray. It rides well, I use a Sony Vaio notebook.

I called Jotto Desk and they informed me I could not order a stand direct from the company but could purchase order one from Iowa 80 truck stop. If you call Iowa 80 they will send you free catalogs in the mail.

Actually, I look at mine all day long while driving. I have my GPS Software loaded on it. If I ever get questioned about it, I just say it is a GPS system with a 14.1 inch screen.
