Ok people, here's the deal! I've at the hiring phrase with Slay Industries: drug test, road test, dot inspection, etc. They're offering $7000 sign on bonus paid over 1 1/2 yrs, $1.37 cpm, 100% fsc, no start up equipment or cost, be home MAYBE 2-4 a week, no rider policy, thats pretty much the gist of it. By the way i love they're maintenance shop!! I also haven't seen any drivers with bad experiences bashing the company. Then, i get to thinking about Landstar and Schneider. 65% isnt bad for a newbie o/o but, i hear so many bad things about both companies when it comes to their load board. Im thinking load boards maybe to advanced for me. Its enough keeping up with the maintenance of the truck. Can someone give me a little insight on which way to go. Please negative comments. THANKS FOR READING!!
Landstar? Schneider? Slay Industries?

I'd go with slay cause I've done and I'm currently pulling tankers and haven't heard a bad thing about them plus you should get home more othen than the other two and still be able to make money.
Nicole9782 Thanks this. -

I'd go with slay and get some tanker experience. Then you can move on to better paying companies. I make good money pulling tanks, but I also know flat guys making more then me. It's all what you like to do.

I know guys making fixed cpm work as owner ops, but what happens when the economy goes boom and rates shoot thru the ceiling? Then you are stuck at a fixed rate per mile. Not bashing just talking out loud and trying to figure out what the advantage is?Mooseontheloose Thanks this. -
