Was curious on any feedback anyone had on Laidlaw's bulk division. I've heard some guys were more or less satisfied working there but then I always see them hiring O/O's every month in ads. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance on any discussion!

When you post ads in every truck paper, Internet, radio and on tv for owner ops usually that a clear sign

See the thing is that all the O/O equipment I see looks above average from them which adds to the puzzle. They may hire every month (maybe cause they can't find the candidates they would like) but I often see late model equipment from them on the highway. To me when you have extra money to spend on a truck your doing well enough.

Goid place to wear out a new truck. I was there in the early 2000's i never worked so hard for so little money every division will have a core of guys that stay because they love dump work. The rest are a revolving door. In one month they lost 11 brokers where i was. They only had 30? In that yard. Thats why they are always hiring. They're not crooks. They just take to much moneyI.

My dad was an owner op for them in the early 2000's. He pulled trains of limestone from beachville to Nanticoke, defasco, or Stelco three times a day for probalby around three years. That was his most profitable time as an owner op. I think I heard my mom once say he was grossing about 250,000, but he used a crap load of fuel. He returned there as a company driver and was never truly happy. If you are looking at Laidlaw, the tank division is probably the best bet, especially if you have experience.

A local trucker here who had a truck for many years needed a change so started hauling for them and a few months later lost everything. I don't think it was a coincidence either
