Are there fellow drivers out there who might like to comment about working with Laidlaw's Tank division out of the Cardinal Ontario terminal.

Their division out of Woodstock was terrible for me. Tons of weekends, terrible dispatchers.

my husband was at laidlaw tank division. Pay was 1.32 a mile, plus fuel surcharge which varies from 32 cents to 42 cents a mile. They make you pay for install of a pump and compressor which ends up being over $3000 for just the install, and they take it off your settlement of 150 twice a month. With all their deductions my husband had about 800-900 taken off each statement (they pay twice a month) which was 1600-1800 a month.
You run like a dog and don't make what you should for running that hard. Your truck needs to get decent fuel mileage there. You also have to argue if they try to give you a load that just does not make sense for your truck, or if it's local. I'ts basically you take what they give you. They do have some decent freight too, but it's just too many miles on your truck for what you get back. -
Six new o/o,s hired in the spring of 2016 and all 6 left within 7 months. As an former O/O with this company I can tell you to be prepared for many lies and surprises. $8400 for pump install (big surprise). I was told that I could do high paying Michigan runs but that ended very quickly when high seniority O/Os moved over from the end of their propane season and displaced me (second big surprise). As a result I was stuck with short runs that don't pay well at all...perhaps survivable on a truck with no payments but certainly not with a newer truck. I would have never wasted my time with this company if I would have known that high seniority o/os would displace me.
Its funny, spring of 2016 I was unloading cement at Corona where I met another Laidlaw O/O doing the same. He asked how I liked it so far. I said so far so good. He said, "well you just wait for the senior o/os to come over and you may not like it so much". I said, the company never said anything to me about getting displaced by others. He laughed and said "you'll see"...hmm...not so funny...
