We build our race engines from used bus engines, just new bearings, rings and head work. In racing use they last longer than 855 so I believe they should do at least the same than 855 in everyday working use. I think you can take at least 500 hp out of it without reliability problems if done right.

My 300 was dynoed at around 335 after only having the fueling turned up. I would think with a bigger turbo and other go fast goodies it'd be able to pull 425 ish with manageable EGTs and most of it's reliability intact.

i went down and ck. truck today. motor is the L10330e model sounded real good trans shift good tire's and brake's real good so i went on bought it..
went i get it home will give it a good cleaning and change oil and filter's air filter. and grease everything up good. I believe it will be a good truck. -

Congrats on the purchase, sounds like a nice truck, and a good motor. One thing about the L10 is it is a SMOOTH running motor.

Don't worry about small oil leaks, they come that way. If geared right, they will pull very well for a small engine.
