Anybody have tips for replacing the blower motor on a 94 W900 KW? Looks like it is on the passenger side of the dash but I'm not sure how much of the dash needs to be pulled out

94 I would raise the hood, remove the breather tube tee and see what I seen. I'm thinking a 10mm socket on a quarter inch ratchet. Be sure to keep the polarity of the wires right or it will run backwards. Also the direction of rotation is marked on the squirrel cages.

    Thank you!

I might need to replace that metal panel. It's the only rust in the entire truck.

It's common for those bolts to break off. So patience, also I always wash out the evaporator core while I'm there. Seal the panel back up really well also. Those two steps will maximize airflow into the cab.

That I can't help with I never had to do the one in the bunk of a KW. I come from a area with a lot daycabs.

Yeah what wore out said. DONT Know Why KW JUST DONT Switch The connectors around on one wire so you can't hook it up backwards. The one in the bunk either you have a way to lift the bed or you will have to pull the bed out and unbolted center panel to get to the blower. All likely hood it probably will be rotted out. To replace the whole unit is about $1200. If not new blower motor and clean the a/c and heater cores.

Got it all apart. The metal panels were absolutely disintegrated and I'll be needing to replace them. They sent me the wrong squirrel cages and one of the old ones are broken so it'll be a few days before it gets fixed the rest of the way.

On a side note I noticed the fan in the bunk works on AC but not heat. If I let it run like that would it put out any heat? AC system is long since disconnected. Anything is better than nothing at this point.

I see what you guys are talking about with the wiring, very easy to mix up.
