I had a meeting last week which in part covered the fact that I've got a new Kenworth T680 Next Gen on order and they want to know if there are any particular specs that I have in mind for this truck. I will list of a few below and encourage anyone who is willing to post what they think I should be looking into as well. Thanks to anyone who contributes!

    - Jake brake overrides cruise control

    - no reflective or high gloss trim inside or outside the truck that would reflect sunlight

    - suspension setup to maximize ride comfort, this is the big one I'm looking for recommendations on because I want to make this thing read more like a Volvo if possible

I like the Espar bunk heater, very quiet. But I don't know if you're going with an APU or not.We have 1800 watt inverters in most everything.

I drove a brand new one last summer, hauled a few loads with it then delivered to the Anchorage terminal.
It had the 15 paccar in it and 18 speed automated. The mileage was saying 6 mpg,but I only had it for a week,in Alaska. It was very nice, smooth ride.No problems at all.

One good thing about Freightliners is their Parksmart plus optimized idle integration. No maintenance, no belts, no oil changes, no noise.

4 extra group 31's doing the work of a 10K dollar, maintenance hog, noisy APU.

Drivers don't understand how to set it correctly, even though there's plenty of freightliner videos on youtube.

Don't fight all the research that the MEGA Carriers have done trying to maximize their profits. Learn and take take advantage of what they force truck manufacturers to produce.

Best riding factory suspension would be the flex air that peterbilt offers. Not sure which AGL that would translate to for KW. For those wondering, I'm talking about the newer flex air and not the original one. May wanna go with gabriel shocks if you can find them. The neway adz would be nice but they don't have it for 40k axles.

2025 KENWORTH T680... THEY ARE VERY SLOW. ABSOLUTELY NO POWER. AND FOR A 2025, THE INSIDE IS AWFUL. NO CABINETS. NO FRONT CURTAIN. ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR A BORN N RAISED TRUCK DRIVER... AT ALL

Most of that model truck on the market right now are specced for efficiency rather than performance so, not surprising at all. If you want something that's gonna actually pull then you gotta order new through the dealer and know what you want.
